Recently, App Annie released an annual evaluation report on downloads and revenue of major applications, which highlights TikTok’s influence and dominance in the field.

According to App Annie data, TikTok ranks second in the consumer app spending list, and the video editing software CapCut (TikTok editing tool) tops the breakthrough download list, becoming the most downloaded app in the world. In addition, in the monthly active users list, TikTok ranked 4th, catching up with Amazon, shopee and Facebook (Meta).

Sensor Tower predicts that by the end of this year, TikTok will reach $2.3 billion in revenue, bringing its lifetime total to $3.8 billion, making it the highest-grossing app in the world in 2021.

The report also said that TikTok will be fourth in Google Play revenue, but will remain the leader in App Store revenue.
